On Friday September 7, 2018 at approximately 1345 hours a school van struck a blue Ford Mustang on Reading Avenue near President Bealer’s residence, he heard the crash and called 911 as he was evaluating occupants of the vehicles. No students were in the van and the driver complained of minor injury to his arm that was bleeding. The driver of the Mustang did not believe that she had any major injuries but complained of pain in her arms which had evidence of a burning abrasion from the airbag deployment. EMS from Boyertown were advised of this when they arrived on location and the evaluated both drivers, one was transported to a local hospital.
BAF&R crews handled traffic control and cleanup of debris.
Thanks to the citizen that stopped and assisted President Bealer with traffic control until BAF&R arrived.
The vehicles were removed by Douglassville Auto Body and Quigley Chevrolet
Douglass Township Police are investigating the crash
