Around 2230 hours Company 95 was requested for a vehicle into a building at Apollo Pools on Perkiomen Avenue. A vehicle fleeing police crashed into the building causing structural damage to the building. Collapse 95 responded to the scene and worked with Exeter and Mt Penn Firefighter to stabilize the structure so the vehicle could be removed. Firefighters wore Breathing apparatus (SCBA) due to chemicals inside the building.
Great job by the Exeter and Mt Penn firefighters who put the struts and supports in place under the direction of Lieutenant Neubauer. Building was stabilized and vehicle was removed. Berks Fire & Water arrived on scene to secure the building.
