This day started at 0157 hours for Station 95 with a crash, then another crash at 0720 hours and then the storm moved in with force and calls began flooding in starting at 1128 Hours and with the last Fire Police going home the following Morning after 0300 hours.
The calls were primarily trees down blocking roadways or into wires or into wires burning, there was one Automatic Fire Alarm and a Rescue where something came down on one of the Municipal trucks out working in the storm, thankfully this was not as bad as it sounded and everyone is fine.
Many Thanks to the Municipal workers for all their help with moving large tree trunks from the roadways and thanks to Residents that let Firefighter use the facilities and in Boyertown one man walked over a block to bring Firefighters drinks, this is all greatly appreciated on a day like this as we were away from our families for hours and dinner becomes whatever we can grab between calls and thanks to JOSH’S PIZZA for getting us pizzas out quick and throwing in drinks so that Firefighters had a chance to eat something.
