Company 95 was dispatched for a building collapse at 14 Apple Street at 1540 hours on Tuesday February 2, 20121. On arrival crews found that the rear porch roof on # 14 and # 16 both came down due to heavy snow load taking with them the small roof overhang they were attached to. Crews evaluated the damage to assure that there was no structural damage to the residences and that there were no utilities involved, the area was secured so that a remediation company could come in to make the repairs.
EMS evaluated a female resident that was under the roof when it collapsed, she refused treatment.
Eastern Berks Regional Police assisted at the scene.
