Starting before 9:00 am people were arriving to donate blood for Makayla’s fight supporting one of the three First Responders of Boyertown; Police, Fire or EMS. It remained very busy from 9:00 am right up until 1:oo pm when some people were turned away as the drive was closed. It was a very successful day for Miller – Keystone who collected the blood. There were over 30 pints of blood collected for the cause.
As far as the contest between First Responders it ended with a tie between Fire & EMS each putting forth 14 persons who donated and Police coming in last with 7 supporters.
Our support and prayers to Makayla and the Becker family.
