On Sunday evening Company 95 was dispatched to the area of the rear of 237 S Franklin Street for a fire near the garage. Chief 95 arrived on scene and found that the fire was nearly out as it burned the trash can to the ground luckily without catching the garage on fire. As he was giving his report to Berks he noticed a large fire at the rear of a property on Front Street and diverted the Fire Apparatus to that location. At the rear of Front Street another trash can was ignited and tipped into a brush pile which ignited and would have caught the garage at that location on fire if the Fire Company was not already on the road.
BAF&R was assisted at the scene by Boyertown Police, Eastern Berks Fire Co, Gilbertsville Fire Co. and Boyertown Ambulance.
